The Stewards held an enquiry following a report from the Starter that HOHLETHELONELY, ridden by Sam Thomas, had refused to race. They interviewed Venetia Williams, the trainer. Having heard her evidence and viewed recordings of the start the Stewards informed the trainer that future similar behaviour may result in the gelding being reported to the British Horseracing Authority.
The Stewards held an enquiry following a report from the Clerk of the Scales that Charlie Huxley, the rider of VIN DE ROY (FR), placed third, trained by Rachel Hobbs, had weighed in at 2lbs or more than the weight at which he weighed out. They interviewed the rider, the trainer’s representative, and the Clerk of the Scales. Having heard their evidence the Stewards found the trainer in breach of Rule (C)43.5.3 in that her representative added equipment. They fined her £290.
