Introduction
It is important that when new owners join a partnership, syndicate or racing club they are aware of what exactly the co-ownership arrangement involves. New co-owners must ensure that they make sure that their expectations are in line with those of the other co-owners, the trainer and co-ownership manager.
To ensure that co-owners interests are taken into account the BHB advises that there is a co-ownership agreement, linking all partners, in place before any co-ownership is formed. It is important that all eventualities are covered within a written agreement so that all co-owners have peace of mind.
