If you are using the list to obtain details about trainers that you wish to visit with a view to getting further involved in racehorse ownership, we recommend that you compile a shortlist of between four and six and arrange visits with all of them.
Everyone will be after different qualities in a trainer. Some will want their horse trained by a big name trainer, whilst others may prefer the personal attention that a smaller trainer can give.
Some of the criteria that you may wish to use to base your decision on include distance from your home to the yard, facilities at the yard, previous record, level of fees, experience and personality.
Your relationship with your trainer is one of the most important aspects of the 'Thrill of Ownership' so you should take your time when making this decision.
It should be remembered that the list is for information purposes only and should not be treated as a recommendation or endorsement of any of the trainers detailed on it.
