The Stewards noted that MUSIC CHART (USA) placed fourth, had interfered with WINSILI, placed second, approaching the final furlong but after viewing a recording of the race they were satisfied that it did not involve a riding offence.
The Stewards held an enquiry after MISS AZEZA, ridden by Richard Mullen, had refused to race. They interviewed the trainer’s representative and having heard his evidence, and taking into consideration the fact that MISS AZEZA had also refused to race in her previous race at Haydock on August 10, the Stewards informed the trainer that future similar behaviour may result in the filly being reported to the British Horseracing Authority.
Having reviewed the start the Stewards were satisfied that MISS AZEZA had refused to race and was deemed to be a runner.
The Starter reported that AJJAADD, trained by Ted Powell, refused to enter the stalls. The trainer’s attention was drawn to the restriction incurred under Rule (B)44 and informed that the gelding could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.
The Stewards noted that MABAIT, placed third, and GLOBAL VILLAGE (IRE) unplaced, had interfered with MEMORY CLOTH, unplaced, a furlong out, but after viewing a recording of the incident they were satisfied that it neither involved a riding offence nor improved MABAIT’s placing.
The Stewards noted that SUN CENTRAL (IRE) and FENNELL BAY (IRE) , both unplaced, had interfered with GOSPEL CHOIR, unplaced, approaching the final furlong but after viewing a recording of the race they were satisfied that it did not involve a riding offence.
The Stewards held an enquiry into possible interference inside the final furlong. Having heard their evidence and viewed recordings of the race they found that STENCIVE, placed second, ridden by Eddie Ahern, had interfered with OPINION, unplaced, ridden by Richard Mullen, and SUN CENTRAL (IRE) ridden by Shane Kelly. The Stewards found Ahern in breach of Rule (B)54.1 and guilty of careless riding in that he manouevred to his right when not sufficiently clear. They suspended him for four days as follows: Saturday 22, Sunday 23, Monday 24 and Tuesday 25 September 2012.
The Stewards held an enquiry into possible interference inside the final furlong. Having heard their evidence and viewed recordings of the race they found that LAST SOVEREIGN, placed fourth, ridden by Jacob Butterfield, had interfered with INTRANSIGENT, placed second, ridden by Jimmy Fortune. The Stewards found Butterfield in breach of Rule (B)54.1 and guilty of careless riding in that he allowed the gelding to drift right without sufficient correction. They suspended him for four days as follows: Saturday 22, Sunday 23, Monday 24 and Tuesday 25 September 2012.

The Stewards noted that INDEX WAITER, unplaced, had interfered with the winner, EPIC BATTLE (IRE), who in turn interfered with WYLDFIRE (IRE), placed third, on the bend leaving the back straight, but after viewing a recording of the race they were satisfied that it did not involve a riding offence.
The Stewards noted that INDEX WAITER, unplaced, had interfered with THREE GLASSES (IRE), unplaced, who in turn interfered with RED CHARMER (IRE), on the bend leaving the back straight, but after viewing a recording of the race they were satisfied that it did not involve a riding offence.
The Stewards noted that the winner, SARDANAPALUS, had interfered with SEE CLEARLY, placed second, approximately one furlong out, but after viewing a recording of the incident they were satisfied that it neither involved a riding offence nor improved SARDANAPALUS’s placing.
The Stewards held an enquiry to consider the reason why Paddy Aspell, the rider of KNOCKAMANY BENDS (IRE), which dead heated for fourth place, had appeared to ease his mount prematurely. Having heard his evidence and that of the Veterinary Officer, and viewed recordings of the race they found the rider in breach of Rule (B)59.4 in that Aspell failed to ride out on a horse that could have finished third. They suspended Aspell for 7 days as follows: Saturday 22, Sunday 23, Monday 24, Tuesday 25, Wednesday 26, Thursday 27 and Friday 28 September 2012.

The Stewards held an enquiry into possible interference 1½ furlongs out. Having heard their evidence and viewed recordings of the race they found that CRUISER, placed fifth, ridden by Kieren Fox, had interfered with DOUBLE DEALER, unplaced, ridden by Harry Bentley. The Stewards found Fox in breach of Rule (B)54.1 and guilty of careless riding, in that he had allowed his horse to drift right. They cautioned him as to his future conduct in races.
The Stewards held an enquiry into the use of the whip by Daragh O’Donohoe, the rider of the winner, SOMEMOTHERSDOHAVEM, from the two-furlong marker. Having heard his evidence and viewed recordings of the race, they found him in breach of Schedule (B)6 Part 2 in that he had used his whip above the permitted level. The Stewards suspended O’Donohoe for two days as follows: Saturday, 22 and Sunday, 23 September.
The Stewards held an enquiry into possible interference two furlongs out. Having heard their evidence and viewed recordings of the race they found that SINGALAT, unplaced, ridden by Chris Catlin, had interfered with JORUM, unplaced, ridden by Pat Cosgrave. The Stewards found Catlin in breach of Rule (B)54.1 and guilty of careless riding, in that he had allowed his horse to drift right. They cautioned him as to his future conduct in races.
The Stewards held an enquiry into possible interference approaching the bend. Having heard their evidence and viewed recordings of the race they found that there had been interference between HASOPOP (IRE), placed fourth, ODOOJ (IRE), placed sixth, and BOOMSHACKERLACKER (IRE), unplaced, but were unable to apportion blame.
The Stewards noted that ULTIMATE DESTINY, placed fourth, had interfered with BRIGADOON, which in turn interfered with ANTON DOLIN (IRE), which then interfered with VIVRE LIBRE, which in turn interfered with SPIN OF A COIN (IRE), all unplaced, approaching the two-furlong marker, but after viewing a recording of the incident they were satisfied that it neither involved a riding offence nor improved ULTIMATE DESTINY’s placing.
The Stewards held an enquiry into the use of the whip by David Probert, the rider of RAWAKI (IRE), placed second, from 1½ furlongs out. Having heard his evidence and viewed recordings of the race, they found him in breach of Schedule (B)6 Part 2, in that he had used his whip above the permitted level. Taking into account that this was the rider’s fifth such suspension within the previous 6 months, the Stewards referred Probert to the British Horseracing Authority.

The Stewards held an enquiry into possible interference shortly before the line. Having heard their evidence and viewed recordings of the race they found that DRUMMERS DRUMMING (USA), placed second, ridden by Lee Edwards, had interfered with the winner, PRINCELY HERO (IRE), ridden by Tom Cannon. The Stewards found Edwards in breach of Rule (B)54.1 and guilty of careless riding in that he allowed his mount to drift left. They suspended him for 1 day as follows: Sunday, 23 September 2012.
The Stewards held an enquiry to consider why Lee Edwards, the rider of DRUMMERS DRUMMING (USA), placed second, had appeared to stop riding shortly before the winning post. Having heard his evidence and viewed recordings of the race they noted his explanation that having made contact with the winner, his own mount became unbalanced, causing him momentarily to lose his rhythm.
The Stewards noted that GOOD BOY JACKSON, placed second, had interfered with DANEHILL DANTE (IRE), which fell jumping the final flight, but after viewing a recording of the incident they were satisfied that it neither involved a riding offence nor improved GOOD BOY JACKSON’s placing.

The Stewards held an enquiry into possible interference approximately two furlongs out. Having heard their evidence and viewed recordings of the race they found that BLUE BAJAN (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Graham Lee, had interfered with the winner, SIR GRAHAM WADE (IRE), ridden by Kieren Fallon. The Stewards found Lee in breach of Rule (B)54.1 and guilty of careless riding in that he manoeuvred to his left, thereby causing interference. They suspended him for 1 day as follows: Saturday 22 September 2012.
The Stewards noted that BLUE BAJAN (IRE), placed fourth, had interfered with HEROSTATUS, unplaced, inside the final furlong but after viewing a recording of the incident they were satisfied that it neither involved a riding offence nor improved BLUE BAJAN (IRE)’s placing.
The Stewards considered the apparent improvement in form of the winner, SIR GRAHAM WADE (IRE), ridden by Kieren Fallon and trained by Mark Johnston, compared with its previous run at York on 25 August where the colt finished thirteenth of sixteen, beaten by 31 ½ lengths. They noted the trainer could offer no explanation for the colt’s improved form. They ordered SIR GRAHAM WADE (IRE) to be routine tested.
The Stewards noted that SALUTATION (IRE), unplaced, had interfered with BIRCHAM (IRE), unplaced, inside the final furlong but after viewing a recording of the race they were satisfied that it did not involve a riding offence.
The Stewards noted that the winner, BADDILINI, had interfered with KAMCHATKA, unplaced, which in turn interfered with GREY STREET, unplaced, on leaving the stalls but after viewing a recording of the incident they were satisfied that it neither involved a riding offence nor improved BADDILINI’s placing.
The Stewards considered the apparent improvement in form of the winner, COURTESY CALL (IRE), ridden by Joe Fanning and trained by Mark Johnston, compared with its previous run at York on 25 August, where the gelding finished fourteenth of sixteen, beaten by approximately 32 lengths. They noted the trainer’s explanation that the gelding appeared to benefit from the firm ground on this occasion.
The Stewards noted that BETWEEN US, unplaced, had interfered with BEYOND CONCEIT (IRE), unplaced, turning into the paddock bend but after viewing a recording of the race they were satisfied that it did not involve a riding offence.

The Stewards noted that STRONG MAN, placed second, had interfered with SANNIBEL, unplaced, which in turn interfered with METHAALY (IRE), unplaced, approaching the final furlong, but after viewing a recording of the incident they were satisfied that it neither involved a riding offence nor improved STRONG MAN’s placing.

Having heard their evidence and viewed recordings of the race they found that REFRESHESTHEPARTS (USA), placed third, ridden by Pat Cosgrave, had interfered with MR CHOCOLATE DROP (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Russ Kennemore. The Stewards found Cosgrave in breach of Rule (B)54.1 and guilty of careless riding in that he allowed his mount to drift to the left, causing the interference. They suspended him for 2 days as follows: Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 September, 2012.
