    The Stewards held an enquiry into possible interference inside the final furlong. Having heard their evidence and viewed recordings of the race they found that YPRES, unplaced, ridden by Gary Bartley, had interfered with FOREIGN RHYTHM (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Garry Whillans. The Stewards found Bartley in breach of Rule (B)54.1 and guilty of careless riding in that he allowed his horse to drift right. They suspended him for 1 day as follows: Tuesday 31 July 2012.

    The Stewards noted that LADY CHAPARRAL, unplaced, had interfered with CHANGE THE SUBJECT (USA), unplaced, shortly after the start, but after viewing a recording of the race they were satisfied that it did not involve a riding offence.

    The Stewards noted that the winner, MOON TRIP, had interfered with MOJOLIKA, placed second, approaching the final furlong, but after viewing a recording of the incident they were satisfied that it neither involved a riding offence nor improved MOON TRIP’s placing.

    The Stewards noted that the winner, TINSELTOWN, had interfered with GOLD RULES, placed second, approaching the line, but after viewing a recording of the incident they were satisfied that it neither involved a riding offence nor improved TINSELTOWN’s placing.

    The Stewards held an enquiry into the use of the whip by Miss H Cuthbert, the rider of EDAS, unplaced, from two furlongs out. Having heard her evidence and viewed recordings of the race, they found her in breach of Schedule (B)6 Part 2 in that she hit her horse above the permitted level and also down the shoulder in the forehand position. The Stewards suspended Miss Cuthbert for 4 days as follows: Tuesday 31 July, Friday 3, Sunday 5 and Monday 6 August 2012.

    The Stewards held an enquiry following a report from the Clerk of the Scales that William Twiston-Davies, the rider of END OF MAY (IRE), placed third, had weighed in at 8st 9lbs having weighed out at 8st 7lbs. They interviewed the rider, Peter Bowen, the trainer and the Clerk of the Scales. Having heard their evidence the Stewards found the rider in breach of Rule (B)67.4.3 and suspended him for 3 days as follows: Tuesday 31 July, Thursday 2 and Friday 3 August 2012.

    The Stewards held an enquiry into the use of the whip by J-P Guillambert, the rider of the winner, NOVALIST, in the last furlong and a half. Having heard his evidence and viewed recordings of the race, they found him in breach of Schedule (B)6 Part 2 in that he used his whip above the permitted level. The Stewards suspended Guillambert for 2 days as follows: Tuesday 31 July and Thursday 2 August 2012.

    The Stewards held an enquiry into possible interference two and a half furlongs out. They found that LYRIC POET (USA), placed third, ridden by William Carson, had interfered with QUIXOTE , placed second, ridden by Kieren Fallon. The Stewards found Carson in breach of Rule (B)54.1 and guilty of careless riding in that he manoeuvred right taking Fallon off his intended line. They suspended him for 1 day as follows: Tuesday 31 July 2012.

    The Stewards noted that BOUCHER GARCON (IRE), unplaced, had interfered with STRICTLY PINK (IRE), unplaced, which in turn interfered with SOOPACAL (IRE), unplaced, leaving the stalls, but after viewing a recording of the race they were satisfied that it did not involve a riding offence.

    The Stewards noted that the winner, JUST LIKE HEAVEN (IRE), had interfered with THE MAGIC OF RIO, unplaced, leaving the stalls, but after viewing a recording of the incident they were satisfied that it neither involved a riding offence nor improved JUST LIKE HEAVEN (IRE)’s placing.

    The Stewards noted that ITUM, unplaced, had interfered with IRISH BOY (IRE), unplaced, approaching the final furlong marker but after viewing a recording of the race they were satisfied that it did not involve a riding offence.

    The Stewards held an enquiry under Rule (B)11.6 into possible interference inside the final furlong. Having heard their evidence and viewed recordings of the race they found that the winner, KINGAROO (IRE), ridden by Luke Morris, had interfered with BRING SWEETS (IRE), placed second, ridden by Silvestre De Sousa. They found the interference was accidental and had not improved KINGAROO (IRE)’s placing. They ordered the placings to remain unaltered.

    The Stewards held an enquiry to consider the apparent improvement in form of the winner, MONZINO (USA), ridden by Russ Kennemore and trained by Michael Chapman, which had never previously been placed. They interviewed the trainer, who stated that the gelding appears to be better suited by the all-weather surface. Having heard his evidence they forwarded his explanation to the British Horseracing Authority so that the previous performances of MONZINO (USA) could be reviewed.
