    The Stewards noted that CONFESSIONAL, unplaced, had interfered with MAYSON, placed fifth, who in turn interfered with the winner, MAAREK, approximately two furlongs out, but after viewing a recording of the race they were satisfied that it did not involve a riding offence.

    The Stewards considered the apparent improvement in form of the winner, FAST SHOT, ridden by David Allan and trained by Tim Easterby, compared with its previous run at York on 15 June, where the gelding finished unplaced, beaten approximately 33 lengths. They noted the trainer’s explanation that the gelding appreciated the better draw today. They ordered FAST SHOT to be routine tested.

    The Stewards held an enquiry to consider why Daniel Tudhope, the rider of POWERFUL PRESENCE (IRE), placed third, had appeared not to keep straight from the stalls. Having heard his evidence and viewed recordings of the start they found him in breach of Rule (B)45.2 and suspended him for 1 day as follows: Monday 16 July 2012.

    The Stewards held an enquiry into the use of the whip by David Allan, the rider of CRACKENTORP, placed second, from approaching the two furlong marker. Having heard his evidence and viewed recordings of the race, they found him in breach of Schedule (B)6 Part 2 in that he had used his whip above the permitted level. The Stewards suspended Allan for 2 days as follows: Monday 16 and Tuesday 17 July 2012.

    The Stewards held an enquiry into the use of the whip by Jim Crowley, the rider of the winner, ILE DE RE (FR), from approaching the two furlong marker. Having heard his evidence and viewed recordings of the race, they found him in breach of Schedule (B)6 Part 2 in that he had used his whip above the permitted level. The Stewards suspended Crowley for 2 days as follows: Monday 16 and Tuesday 17 July 2012.

    The Stewards noted that FULBRIGHT, unplaced, had interfered with PRIME EXHIBIT, placed fifth, who in turn interfered with ROKER PARK (IRE), placed third, shortly after the start, but after viewing a recording of the race they were satisfied that it did not involve a riding offence.

    The Stewards held an enquiry into the use of the whip by Barry McHugh, the rider of RED INCA, placed second, inside the final two furlongs. Having heard his evidence and viewed recordings of the race, they found him in breach of Schedule (B)6 Part 2 in that he had used his whip above the permitted level. The Stewards suspended McHugh for 2 days as follows: Monday 16 and Tuesday 17 July 2012.

    BEAU MISTRAL (IRE), ridden by Cathy Gannon, unseated its rider in the stalls. Having reviewed the video recording of the incident, the Stewards were satisfied that the filly was mounted at the time the start was effected and therefore was deemed to be a runner.

    The Stewards held an enquiry into possible interference approaching the furlong marker. Having heard their evidence and viewed recordings of the race they found that the winner, JUST LILLE (IRE), ridden by Joe Fanning, had interfered with MIRRORED, placed third, ridden by Franny Norton. The Stewards found Fanning in breach of Rule (B)54.1 and guilty of careless riding in that he allowed his mount to go left when not sufficiently clear. They suspended him for 3 days as follows: Monday 16, Tuesday 17 and Wednesday 18 July 2012.

    The Stewards held an enquiry into possible interference three and a half furlongs out. Having heard their evidence and viewed recordings of the race they found that DIVINE PAMINA (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Darryll Holland, had interfered with VIEWPOINT (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Richard Hughes, which in turn interfered with NO DOMINION (IRE), which fell, ridden by Paul Hanagan. They found the interference was accidental.

    The Stewards held an enquiry into possible interference in the final furlong. Having heard their evidence and viewed recordings of the race they found that there was interference between the winner, CITY IMAGE (IRE), ridden by Richard Hughes and SANDREAMER (IRE), placed second, ridden by Martin Harley. The Stewards found Harley and Hughes in breach of Rule (B)54.1 and guilty of careless riding. They found that Harley allowed his mount to drift left causing the interference and they found Hughes guilty of careless riding in that he allowed his mount to drift right. They suspended Harley for 1 day as follows: Monday, 16th July 2012, and they cautioned Hughes as to his future conduct in races.

    The Stewards noted that SANDREAMER (IRE), placed second, had interfered with BAILEYS JUBILEE, placed third, a furlong out, but after viewing a recording of the incident they were satisfied that it neither involved a riding offence nor improved SANDREAMER (IRE) ’s placing.

    The Stewards considered the apparent improvement in form of the winner, POLYGON (USA), ridden by William Buick and trained by John Gosden, compared with its previous run at Haydock on 2 June where the filly finished ninth of nine, beaten by 72 lengths. They noted the trainer’s explanation that the filly showed much more interest with the application of blinkers. They ordered POLYGON (USA) to be routine tested.

    The Stewards considered the apparent improvement in form of the winner, MOONE’S MY NAME, ridden by Richard Hughes and trained by Ralph Beckett, compared with its previous run at Epsom on 1 June where the filly finished tenth of seventeen, beaten by 18 lengths. They noted the trainer’s representative’s explanation that the filly likes to be prominent and was unable to do so being drawn 17 of 17 at Epsom.

    The Stewards held an enquiry into possible interference approaching the two furlong marker. Having heard their evidence and viewed recordings of the race they found that FILS ANGES (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Ian Burns, had interfered with BLESSINGTON (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Robert Havlin. The Stewards found Burns in breach of Rule (B)54.1 and guilty of careless riding in that he manoeuvred right handed.. They suspended him for 2 days as follows: Monday 16 and Tuesday 17 July 2012.

    FIGARO, trained by William Haggas, was doubly declared to run in the Betfred Mobile Sports Handicap Stakes at Windsor and the John Smith’s Northumberland Plate at Newcastle and ran in the latter. The Stewards found the trainer in breach of Rule (F)96.2 and fined him £650.

    The Stewards held an enquiry under Rule (B)11.6 into two incidents of possible interference. In the first, approaching the final furlong, they found that COUPE DE VILLE (IRE), placed second, ridden by Pat Dobbs, had interfered with the winner, THISTLE BIRD, ridden by James Doyle. The Stewards found Dobbs in breach of Rule (B)54.1 and guilty of careless riding in that he allowed his horse to drift right handed. They suspended him for 1 day as follows:- Monday 16 July 2012. In the second, inside the final furlong, they found that THISTLE BIRD had interfered with COUPE DE VILLE (IRE), and that the interference had not improved THISTLE BIRD’s placing. They ordered the placings to remain unaltered. The Stewards found Doyle in breach of Rule (B)54.1 and guilty of careless riding in that he allowed his horse to drift left handed. They suspended him for 4 days as follows: Monday 16, Tuesday 17, Wednesday 18 and Thursday 19 July 2012.

    The Stewards held an enquiry into the use of the whip by Pat Dobbs, the rider of COUPE DE VILLE (IRE), placed second, from 1 ½ furlongs out. Having heard his evidence and viewed recordings of the race, they found him in breach of Schedule (B)6 Part 2 in that he had used his whip above the permitted level. The Stewards suspended Dobbs for 2 days as follows: Tuesday 17 and Wednesday 18 July 2012.

    The Stewards held an enquiry into possible interference just after the marker poles. Having heard their evidence and viewed recordings of the race they found that LEXI’S HERO, placed sixth, ridden by Stephen Craine, had interfered with SWISS CROSS, unplaced, ridden by David Probert. The Stewards found Craine in breach of Rule (B)54.1 and guilty of careless riding in that he had allowed his horse to drift right handed. They suspended him for 1 day as follows: Monday 16 July 2012.

    The Stewards considered the apparent improvement in form of the winner, FORGIVE, ridden by Pat Dobbs, and trained by Richard Hannon, compared with its previous run at Nottingham on 14 June, where the filly finished 8th, beaten 35 lengths over one mile two furlongs. They noted the trainer’s explanation that FORGIVE appreciated the better ground and more positive ride.

    The Stewards held an enquiry to consider why Silvestre De Sousa, the rider of BORNEAN (IRE), placed fourth, had appeared to stop riding shortly before the winning post. Having heard his evidence and viewed recordings of the race they noted his explanation that the colt was running green and had no more to give in the latter stages of the race.

    The Stewards noted that SUTTON VENY (IRE), placed third, had interfered with ALIVE AND KICKING, unplaced, which in turn interfered with PARADISE SPECTRE, unplaced, approximately one furlong out, but after viewing a recording of the incident they were satisfied that it neither involved a riding offence nor improved SUTTON VENY (IRE)’s placing.

    The Stewards held an enquiry under Rule (B)11.6 into possible interference inside the final furlong. Having heard their evidence and viewed recordings of the race they found that the winner, KHUBALA (IRE), ridden by Silvestre De Sousa, had interfered with GOLDREAM, placed second, ridden by Kieren Fallon, which in turn interfered with ALMOND BRANCHES, unplaced, ridden by P J McDonald. They found the interference was accidental and had not improved KHUBALA (IRE)’s placing. They ordered the placings to remain unaltered.

    The Stewards held an enquiry into the use of the whip by Cathy Gannon, the rider of LOCKANTANKS, placed third, in the final one and a half furlongs. Having heard her evidence and viewed recordings of the race, they found her in breach of Schedule (B)6 Part 2 in that she had used her whip above the permitted level and in the incorrect place. The Stewards suspended Gannon for six days as follows: Saturday 14 July and Monday 16 to Friday 20 July 2012.

    The Stewards held an enquiry into the fall of Shirley Teasdale the rider of SWEET VERA, approximately three furlongs out. Being satisfied that the incident was caused by the mare sustaining an injury, the Stewards took no further action.

Having heard their evidence and viewed recordings of the race they found that JANE LACHATTE (IRE), placed third, ridden by Daniel Tudhope, had interfered with MERRJANAH, unplaced, ridden by Silvestre De Sousa. The Stewards found Tudhope in breach of Rule (B)54.1 and guilty of careless riding in that he made a manoeuvre to his left. They suspended him for one day as follows: Tuesday 17 July 2012.

    The Stewards noted that ROYAL ASPIRATION (IRE), placed second, had interfered with JIMMY ELDER, placed fourth, inside the final furlong, but after viewing a recording of the incident they were satisfied that it neither involved a riding offence nor improved ROYAL ASPIRATION’s placing.

    The Stewards held an enquiry to consider why Nathan Alison, the rider of HEAD OFFICE, placed fifth, had appeared to stop riding on the run to the line. Having heard his evidence and viewed recordings of the race they found him in breach of Rule (B)59.3.2.1 and guilty of failing to ride out on a horse that would have finished fourth. They suspended him for 4 days as follows: Thursday 19, Friday 20, Sunday 22 and Monday 23 July 2012.

    The Stewards noted that BEGGAR’S OPERA (IRE), unplaced, had interfered with YOU GOT THE LOVE, unplaced, eight and a half furlongs out, but after viewing a recording of the race they were satisfied that it did not involve a riding offence.
