Note: Prior to 3rd April 2006, the Jockey Club was the regulator of racing, and prior to July 2007 the Horseracing Regulatory Authority performed the same function.

The Stewards considered the running of OSCAR PAPA, ridden by Denis O’Regan and trained by Nick Gifford, which finished unplaced. They noted that the trainer could offer no explanation for the gelding’s performance. They ordered OSCAR PAPA to be routine tested.
Wayne Kavanagh, the rider of HEAD SPIN (IRE), unplaced, reported that his saddle slipped.
Andrew Tinkler, the rider of GOOD OLD PAUL (IRE), which was pulled up, reported that the gelding moved poorly.
Tom George, the trainer of COOLBEG (IRE), unplaced, reported that the gelding ran too freely to post and boiled over.

David Probert, the rider of CENTRE STAGE, unplaced, reported that the gelding moved poorly in the latter stages.

The Veterinary Officer reported that BALLYBOKER BOY (IRE), placed third, trained by Jamie Snowden, lost a shoe.
The Veterinary Officer reported that SPRING MOON (IRE), which was pulled up, trained by Martin Keighley, was lame.
