 Family racing
Do you ever find yourself stuck for an idea of where to spend a day out, with something to entertain all the family, not too far away and inexpensive? The answer may surprise you – go horseracing!
With accompanied children aged 16 and under admitted free to most racecourses, and adult entry from as little as £5, a family day out need cost no more than a tenner!
The atmosphere on family days at racecourses is always relaxing and friendly. Most racecourses are very welcoming to children, and have a safe children’s area where they lay on all kinds of extra entertainment such as bouncy castles, furry animal farms, pony rides and face-painters - some even have their own children’s club!
There are 59 racecourses around the country, so it is easy to pack up a picnic and the kids and go for a jaunt at your local racecourse. With plenty of space for the kids to have their fun, Mum and Dad are free to enjoy the racing and perhaps a little flutter! Many racecourses also have crèches available free of charge during racedays, contact your local course to check with them.
