Latest News from Racing Together, British racing’s community engagement activity.

17 Nov 17

Racing Together today launch their new website – www.racingtogether.co.uk – which will be the
home for promoting and reflecting British Racing’s community engagement activity. The site is a
collaboration of a range of nationwide partners across the sport – charities and commercial
organisations.

This new hub will offer resources to partners and the public who want to know about racing’s
diverse work in helping others across its many communities.

We are excited about the launch of the new site to establish a stopping off point for so many
different organisations wanting to promote and report on their activities, and those looking to be
inspired by the work of others.

We will also carry the voices of those who have benefited in some way from events and activities
designed by racing to enrich the lives of others, whether through education; in helping the
environment or reaching out to the beneficiaries of one of the UK’s many health charities who
regularly interact with racing and its people.

The website will also include direct access to the new Horseracing volunteer site Do‐it for
Horseracing, which allows potential volunteers to access a wide range of volunteer opportunities
within the racing industry.

Current stories include the Light Up Lansdowne Event held at Bath Racecourse, which involved
Crimestoppers UK as their official partners. Up at Chester, the team there recently published an
amazing total of £28,134 raised for their chosen charities.

The new Racing Together promotional video which was shown for the first time at the RCA
Showcase Awards gives an insight into just some of the community engagement activities taking
place nationwide.

Racing Together’s members have big plans for 2018 and we hope that this new website will be the
catalyst for community engagement to be an even bigger part of racing’s future strategy.

Adam Harman, Racing Together’s Community Engagement Manager will be the point of contact for
all community engagement updates and enquiries. If you wish to provide content or wish to discuss
your community engagement activity/ideas, we would love to hear from you. If you are a charity or
youth organisation looking to make connections with the racing world, Racing Together can support
your goals.
