Following the abandonment of racing at Musselburgh on Good Friday, the British Horseracing Authority has programmed an additional Flat fixture at Wolverhampton racecourse.

The seven race card will close at noon on Saturday, 19 March, with declarations to run to be made by 10.00a.m. on Wednesday, 23 March. The first race will take place at 1.55pm with the last race at 5.00pm.

Full race conditions are available on the BHA’s Racing Administration website under Fixtures and Races.

The BHA is grateful to the Levy Board and Wolverhampton racecourse for their help in staging this fixture.

ARC’s Racing and Property Director, Stephen Higgins, said: “ARC is pleased to have been able to work with the BHA to ensure there is a second meeting on Good Friday in addition to the £1.1 million All-Weather Championships Final’s Day at Lingfield Park.  It will be ARC’s richest ever raceday with prize money of £1.256 million available across both racecourses, including a record £156,000 at Wolverhampton.  We would like to thank the EBF for their support of the rearranged fixture. We hope the fixture will draw strong entries from horsemen and a good crowd.”
