The British Horseracing Authority has today confirmed an additional All-Weather fixture at Newcastle to be staged on Friday 9 January.

Entries for the card, comprising seven races with the possibility to divide to nine, will close at noon tomorrow (Wednesday 7 January) before declarations at 10am on Thursday 8 January. Jockey bookings for the same day’s fixture at Wolverhampton have been extended by 24 hours in line with this addition.

The BHA is grateful to the Horserace Betting Levy Board for its contribution to the funding of prize money for this additional meeting, and to the participants, stable employees, raceday officials and others who will be servicing this fixture at short notice.
