The British Horseracing Authority (BHA) has today confirmed that the two Steeple Chases scheduled to take place at Leicester’s fixture on Monday 17 November have been abandoned and replaced by an additional Hurdle race.

With the ground at Leicester currently Good, Good to Soft in places on the Hurdle course and Firm, Hard in places on the Chase course, the decision has been made, in agreement with the BHA Course Inspectorate, to run the fixture on the Hurdle course to ensure it has the best possible chance of going ahead.

The card will now consist of six Hurdle races, with permission to divide to seven races.
