The British Horseracing Authority (BHA) has today confirmed that the two Steeple Chases scheduled to take place at Leicester’s fixture on Sunday 30 November have been abandoned and replaced by an additional Hurdle race.

The ground at Leicester is currently Firm, Hard in places on the Chase course and Soft, Good to Soft in places on the Hurdle course. As a result, the decision has been made, in agreement with the BHA Course Inspectorate, to run the fixture on the Hurdle course to ensure it has the best possible chance of going ahead.

The card will now consist of six Hurdle races, permitted to divide to seven.
