The British Horseracing Authority (BHA) has today confirmed that the two Steeple Chases scheduled to take place at Leicester’s fixture on Sunday 28 November 2021 have been abandoned.

While the Hurdle course was on Thursday described as Good to Soft, Soft in Places, the Chase course was Firm and with little appreciable rain in the track’s forecast, a decision has been taken to ensure the safest possible meeting for all participants.

The two abandoned chases will be replaced by a Class 5 Novices’ Handicap Hurdle, forming a six-race card, for which entries will close at noon on Monday, 22 November.
