The British Horseracing Authority (BHA) can confirm that the two Steeple Chases scheduled to be run at Bangor-on-Dee’s fixture on Friday 4 July have been abandoned and replaced with an additional Hurdle and National Hunt Flat Race.

The request to abandon the Steeple Chases has been approved by the BHA Inspectorate to allow groundstaff to focus their watering efforts on the Hurdle course to ensure the fixture has the best possible chance of going ahead.

The fixture will comprise of six races and entries will close at noon tomorrow, Saturday 28 June.
