The British Horseracing Authority (BHA) has today confirmed that the three Steeple Chases scheduled to take place at Kelso’s fixture on Sunday 25 May have been abandoned and will be replaced with two Hurdle races.

The course has received no rain since an all-Hurdle card was staged on 7 May, and therefore this request was approved to once again allow the groundstaff to concentrate their watering efforts on the Hurdles course to ensure the fixture has the best possible chance of going ahead.

The two new races will form part of a six-race card and will close for entries along with the rest of the card on Monday 19 May.
