BHA Helpdesk no longer available after Friday 13 August

09 Aug 2021 BHA Features

The BHA COVID-19 Helpdesk will close and no longer be available after Friday 13 August 2021.

This decision reflects the significant fall in the number of queries received by the Helpdesk following the latest easing of COVID-19 protocols, which included the removal of pre-entry medical screening.

Pre-registration at race meetings is no longer a mandatory COVID-19 requirement; however, the following raceday attendees should continue to register for each fixture, using the established processes:

  • Trainers will need to register a named contact attending with each horse – via Racing Admin after declarations close;
  • Racecourse staff and contractors – via the racecourses;
  • Jockeys – via jockey bookings;
  • BHA Staff – via BHA scheduling;
  • Media, broadcasters and photographers – encouraged to register in advance via the racecourse/RCA.

All other attendees should arrange access by liaising directly with the racecourse concerned.

Trainers wishing to make raceday privilege requests should continue to do so via Racing Admin prior to the 3pm deadline the day before the fixture. If the deadline is missed, please email [email protected].

Owners

Owners are encouraged to book in advance to help racecourses ensure that appropriate facilities and arrangements are in place to enhance the raceday experience.  However, advance booking is no longer essential, and badges may be collected on the day.

Advance booking should be completed using PASS (https://www.rcapass.com). Owners with runners at Cheltenham, Kelso or Hexham will be contacted directly regarding arrangements as these courses do not use PASS.

For assistance with the PASS system, please contact the PASS helpdesk on 01933 270333 or by email: [email protected].

Further resources for owners, including updated guidance and course-by-course information, are available on the ROA website.
