Instruction H19 Reports Into Improved Form

ROBBIE’S DREAM, Southwell, 3rd July 2000, The Bet Direct from Littlewoods Handicap Stakes

The Stewards of the Jockey Club considered the report of the enquiry into the running of the winner, ROBBIES DREAM (IRE), ridden by Keith Dalgleish and trained by Robert Cowell, as compared to the gelding`s previous runs in which it had never been placed.

At the enquiry on the racecourse, the trainer had said that ROBBIES DREAM (IRE) had appreciated the step up in trip and had benefitted from the fitting of a tongue tie on this occasion.

Having viewed video recordings of the gelding`s previous runs, the Stewards decided not to refer the case to the Disciplinary Committee.

EYELETS ECHO, Newcastle 29th June 2000, The St James’ Park Handicap Stakes

The Stewards of the Jockey Club considered the report of the enquiry into the running of the winner, EYELETS ECHO, ridden by Kevin Darley and trained by David Morris, as compared to the gelding`s previous runs in which it had never been placed.

At the enquiry on the racecourse, the trainer had said that he had no explanation for the apparent improvement in form shown by EYELETS ECHO, other than that the gelding had been working well at home.

Having viewed video recordings of the gelding`s previous runs, the Stewards decided not to refer the case to the Disciplinary Committee.

JOCKO GLASSES, Pontefract, 25th June, The Snickers Original Workwear Handicap Stakes

The Stewards of the Jockey Club considered the report of the enquiry into the running of the winner, JOCKO GLASSES, ridden by Richard Mullen and trained by Chris Wall, as compared to the gelding`s previous runs in which it had never been placed.

At the enquiry on the racecourse, the trainer had said that he had no explanation for the apparent improvement in form shown by JOCKO GLASSES other than that the gelding was an improving sort.

Having viewed video recordings of the gelding`s previous runs, the Stewards decided not to refer the case to the Disciplinary Committee.

COMPTON BANKER (IRE), Ascot, 24th June, The Palan Stakes (Handicap)

The Stewards of the Jockey Club considered the report of the enquiry into the running of the winner, COMPTON BANKER (IRE), ridden by Paul Doe and trained by Gerald Butler, as compared to the colt`s previous runs in which he had never been placed.

At the enquiry on the racecourse, the trainer had said that COMPTON BANKER (IRE) had appreciated the good to firm ground and stiff five furlongs on this occasion.

Having viewed video recordings of the colt`s previous runs, the Stewards decided not to refer the case to the Disciplinary Committee.

The Stewards of the Jockey Club considered the report of the enquiry into the running of the winner, MY BROTHER, ridden by Michael Doyle and trained by Jeremy Naylor, as compared to the gelding`s previous runs in which it had never been placed.

At the enquiry on the racecourse, the trainer had said that he had no explanation for the apparent improvement in form shown by MY BROTHER.

Having viewed video recordings of the gelding`s previous runs, the Stewards decided not to refer the case to the Disciplinary Committee.

CHAKA ZULU, Bath, 1st July 2000, The July Handicap Stakes

The Stewards of the Jockey Club considered the report of the enquiry into the running of the winner, CHAKA ZULU, ridden by Richard Mullen and trained by Willie Haggas, as compared to the gelding`s previous runs in which it had never been placed.

At the enquiry on the racecourse, Miss E Budden, representing the trainer had said that CHAKA ZULU had matured over the winter and had appreciated the step up in trip on this occasion.
