NEW DATES FOR BHB OWNERS’ SEMINARS

12 Feb 1999 Pre-2014 Releases

The British Horseracing Board today announced dates for the latest in its successful series of seminars for would-be racehorse owners.
The seminars, which this year take place in Lambourn on 6th and 7th April, and Newmarket on 27th and 28th September, aim to give newcomers all the information they need for a venture into racehorse ownership.
Speakers at the Lambourn seminar will include Harry Herbert, of Highclere Thoroughbred Racing. Trainers offering advice will include Charles Egerton, Hugh Morrison, Richard Phillips and Simon Sherwood.
The cost of a place at the seminar is £225 (plus VAT) which includes meals, transport and admission for a day’s racing at Ascot. Those attending will also receive a complimentary copy of the book “”The Spirit of Racing””.
The £225 fee is refunded for any delegate who becomes a registered owner within a year – and there is a bonus of a year’s free membership to the Thoroughbred Breeders Association and the Racehorse Owners Association.
Places at the seminars are limited, and anyone requiring further details should call 01753- 897211 (8.00 a.m. – 8.00 p.m., seven days a week).
Zoë Davis, the BHB’s Ownership Marketing Executive, said: “”Our Owners’ Seminars go from strength to strength. We have already taken bookings for the Newmarket Seminar in September – so I would encourage those who wish to come to the Lambourn Seminar to get in contact soon!””
