NOTICE OF A FORTHCOMING DISCIPLINARY PANEL HEARING (JAMES ROGERS)

Licensed apprentice jockey James Rogers has been informed he will be required to attend a Disciplinary Panel hearing to consider possible breaches of the Rules of Racing as follows:

1. Was Mr Rogers in breach of Rule (D)65.1 when testing positive for a Category A Banned Substance (namely alcohol) prior to his booked ride in the 2.50pm race at Nottingham racecourse on 3rd October 2012?

And

2. Did Mr Rogers act in breach of Rule (D)61.2 of the Rules of Racing when, upon a request to provide a urine sample by the Sampling Officer at Nottingham racecourse on 3rd October 2012, he intentionally substituted his urine sample with urine from another person and thereby failed to comply with the procedures established in Schedule (D)4 of the Rules?

And

3. Did Mr Rogers act in breach of Rule (A)30.1 of the Rules of Racing by engaging in conduct prejudicial to horseracing in Great Britain when attempting to pass off the urine of another person’s as his own when required to provide a sample to the Sampling Officer at Nottingham racecourse on 3rd October 2012?
