With the current cold weather threatening the prospects of Turf racing on Friday 6 February, the British Horseracing Authority (BHA) has programmed a provisional AWT Flat fixture at Kempton Park Racecourse, which will only be activated if Kempton’s Jump Fixture on the same day is abandoned.
All additional races will be free to enter and a final decision on whether the existing Jump races will be abandoned, and the provisional AWT card activated, will be made by 8.30am on Thursday 5 February.
The provisional additional AWT Flat races will close at noon on Wednesday 4 February.
Should these races subsequently be activated, they will close for declarations at 10am on Thursday 5 February.
In light of the addition of this fixture, the BHA will delay the Declaration of Riders Deadline under Rule F(92) for races at Wolverhampton on Friday 6 February until 2.00pm on Wednesday 4 February.
The provisional races will run in Kempton’s current race slots of 2.00pm to 4.40pm.
