Running and Riding of Gavroche (ire) to be Subject to a Disciplinary Panel Enquiry

The Stewards of the Jockey Club have considered the report of the enquiry regarding the marked improvement in form by GAVROCHE (IRE), the winner of the littlewoodspoker.com Handicap Stakes at Wolverhampton on 19th January 2004, trained by Mark Wallace and ridden by Jean-Pierre Guillambert, as compared to the colt’s previous runs.

The improvement in form was referred under Instruction H19 (b), whereby following a marked improvement in form, the previous runs of a horse are reviewed by the Jockey Club, in conjunction with any explanation given for the improvement by connections.

Having examined the evidence, the running and riding of GAVROCHE (IRE) in a 6 furlong auction maiden stakes at Wolverhampton on 15th August 2003 has been referred to the Disciplinary Panel.

A date for the enquiry will be set in due course.
