STEEPLE CHASES ABANDONED – ONE NEW HURDLE RACE PROGRAMMED AND ALL RACES ELIGIBLE TO DIVIDE AT BANGOR-ON-DEE ON MONDAY 20 JANUARY

16 Jan 2014 Racing/Fixtures

The Steeple Chase course at Bangor-On-Dee is currently described as Heavy (Waterlogged in places) and with further rain forecast, the Steeple Chases originally programmed to take place at Bangor-On-Dee on Monday 20 January have been abandoned. British Horseracing Authority (BHA) has therefore programmed an additional Novices’ Hurdle race to form a six race card. As a consequence, all races, including the additional Hurdle, are now eligible to divide under the normal criteria.

The new race will close at noon on Friday 17 January, with declarations to run to be made, in line with the existing races, by 10a.m. on Sunday 19 January.

A revised running order is outlined below:
1:20 30426 The Stella Artois Black ‘National Hunt’ Maiden Hurdle Race (Class 5)
1:50 30424 The Stella Artois Handicap Hurdle Race (Class 4)
2:20 30423 The Anno 1366 Handicap Hurdle Race (Class 4)
2:50 30425 The Cut Above Novices’ Hurdle Race (Class 4)
3:20 30428 The Stella Artois Cidre Novices’ Hurdle Race (Class 4)
3:50 30427 The Stella Artois Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race (Class 6)
