• Lingfield Park 4 May: Three races over 7f and 7f & 140 yards abandoned
• Provisional All Weather races activated, declarations to run will close at 10am tomorrow

Following recent heavy rain leaving sections of the track unraceable, the British Horseracing Authority (BHA) has given permission for the Lingfield Park executive to cancel the three Turf races at 7f and 7f+ on Saturday 7 May, to be replaced by the provisional All Weather races which were announced on Tuesday 3 May here and which closed today.

The entries in the three All Weather races are no longer provisional and declarations must be made by 10am tomorrow.

Lingfield Park’s Clerk of the Course, Edward Arkell, said:

“Having walked the course this afternoon with BHA Course Inspector Peter Hobbs we are all in agreement that the condition the straight course beyond 6 furlongs will not improve sufficiently before Saturday to enable use to run the two 7 furlong races and the 7 furlong 140 yards race. The three substitute all-weather races will now be activated.”

Having activated the provisional card the revised running order follows below.
