The British Horseracing Authority has today confirmed that the Listed Panoramic Hurdle, which had been due to be staged at Kempton on Sunday 18 October, has been transferred to Carlisle on Thursday 22 October following the abandonment of Kempton’s fixture.
In addition, as per the new policy recently announced, it has been determined that the Beginners’ Chase on Carlise’s card will be cancelled. This follows an inspection of the course, which has confirmed that the ground on the chase track is unlikely to attract significant runners for a race of this type.
This had been provisionally accounted for when adding the additional fixture at Perth on Thursday 15 October, where a two-mile Beginners’ Chase was included. Participants should therefore note that this race closes for entry on Friday 9 October.
The BHA has also explored options to replace the Kempton fixture, as well as the one that had been due to take place at Fakenham on Friday 16 October but this has unfortunately not been possible. We continue to explore all options to support the delivery of the Jump race programme and will have further updates in due course.
