ALL-HURDLE CARD PROGRAMMED FOR EXETER ON SUNDAY 9 FEBRUARY

05 Feb 2014 Racing/Fixtures

After a further 32mm of rainfall in the last 24 hours, the Steeple Chase course at Exeter is now waterlogged. With further rain forecast for the region, Exeter, in conjunction with the British Horseracing Authority (BHA) Inspectorate, has been forced to abandon the Steeple Chases scheduled for Sunday 9 February. In response, BHA’s Racing Department has programmed three additional Hurdle race opportunities in an attempt to safeguard this fixture. Exeter’s going on the Hurdles course is currently described as Heavy (Going Stick: 6.3).

The three new races will be free to enter and close at noon on Thursday 6 February. Declarations are to be made in line with the existing races by 10am on Friday 7 February.

A new, revised running order follows below:

1:25 30846 The Bathwick Tyres ‘National Hunt’ Novices’ Hurdle Race (Class 4)
1:55 30848 The Bathwick Tyres Taunton Conditional Jockeys’ Training Series Handicap Hurdle Race (Class 4)
