Additional fixtures at Chelmsford City and Wolverhampton; changes to Yarmouth’s 30 August fixture

The British Horseracing Authority (BHA) has today announced a number of changes to the race programme for the coming weeks. 

Additional fixtures

Two additional Flat fixtures have been programmed as follows:

  • Chelmsford City – Thursday 27 August
  • Wolverhampton – Wednesday 2 September

Both will be afternoon fixtures and have eight-race cards, with the ability to divide to nine races if required. Entries for Chelmsford City will close tomorrow, Saturday 22 August at 12 noon with declarations at the 48-hour stage as normal. Entry and declaration deadlines for Wolverhampton will be as normal.

Race times, conditions and other fixture information will be available via  the Racing Admin site, www2.racingadmin.co.uk shortly.

Yarmouth 30 August

Remedial work to repair the ground on the bend at Yarmouth remains ongoing, as outlined in the announcement on 18 August.

As such, the following races due to be run on 30 August:

  • 1m2f 32y Apprentice Handicap Cl. 5 (51-70) 4yo+
  • 1m2f 32y Handicap Cl. 2 (81-100) 3yo+

Will be replaced with the following race:

  • 1m 3y Handicap Cl. 5 3yo

The fixture has the ability to divide up to nine races if required.  Entry and declaration deadlines for the fixture will be as normal, with full race conditions for the new race and updated running order available via the Racing Admin site shortly.
