The British Horseracing Authority (BHA) has today announced that due to the continuing spell of dry weather, two additional fixtures have been arranged as follows:

Chelmsford City – Tuesday 17 July
Newcastle – Tuesday 24 July

Entries for Chelmsford City on Tuesday 17 July close at 12 noon tomorrow, Saturday 14 July, with declarations on Sunday 15 July.

Entries and declarations for Newcastle on Tuesday 24 July will be as normal.

Full fixture, race programme and race time details will be available via the racing admin site www2.racingadmin.co.uk in due course.

Paul Johnson, Head of Racing at the BHA, said:

“The extended dry spell which has led to recent turf fixtures taking place under faster conditions has meant there continues to be increased demand for racing on All Weather surfaces, with a high number of eliminations at recent fixtures.

“These two extra fixtures should go some way to alleviate that demand and we are grateful to the Horserace Betting Levy Board and the racecourses involved for their efforts in facilitating this at short notice.”
