Following recent abandonments and with the current weather threatening further fixtures, the British Horseracing Authority (BHA) has programmed a card of Jumpers’ Bumpers to take place on Friday, January 25th.

The six race card will be made up of events aimed primarily at Steeple Chasers and Hurdlers.

Ordinarily, under the Rules of Racing, horses which have run in Steeple Chases or Hurdle Races are not eligible to run in National Hunt Flat races, but given the recent disruption to the fixture list, the BHA has modified the Rules with regard to this fixture.

The track will be power harrowed to produce ‘standard to slow’ conditions, with the aim of broadly replicating turf conditions described as the ‘slow side of good’.

The races close at noon on Wednesday, January 23rd, with declarations to run to be made by 10.00am on Thursday, January 24th. Full race conditions are available on the Racing Admin website under Fixtures and Races.
