BHA AUDIO BLOGGING SERVICE FROM CHELTENHAM

15 Mar 2010 Pre-2014 Releases

BHA Xtra, the BHA’s innovative phone-blogging service, has today revealed its plans for the Cheltenham Festival.

Available at https://www.britishhorseracing.com/BHAxtra/, our team on the course will be reporting back from the festival and providing live audio updates of all the big news, including:

  • Interviews
  • Essential breaking news and information
  • Updates from the Stewards Room
  • Reaction, analysis and comment from our team of Handicappers

The service is designed to be an on-course punters pal, providing eyes and ears from all four days of the Festival for those who can’t make the trip down to the Cotswolds.

Listen to BHA Website Editor Robin Mounsey describe the service BHA Xtra will be providing at Cheltenham:

In order not to miss these essential and exclusive updates users can ‘follow’ BHA Xtra by using the appropriate button on the BHA Xtra player, so users receive a brief email every time a new audio blog is posted. Users can also comment on any of the articles or subscribe to the RSS feed.

The result is a fast, unique and innovative way to keep up to speed with all the events from the biggest fixture in Jump racing.

Also, those blogging about or from the Festival can embed any of our audio clips you like into your blog, simply by clicking the ‘embed’ icon and copying and pasting the code.

Paul Struthers, Media Relations Manager at the BHA, said: “We are very excited about introducing the BHA Xtra service at the Cheltenham Festival. The service will  provide a brand new way for racing fans to keep up to date with all of the crucial news and information from the course, and create an essential service that no serious fan can do without.”

In the lead up to Cheltenham, BHA Xtra spoke to Harry Findlay about the much anticipated Gold Cup clash between Kauto Star and Denman. Harry speaks primarily about the horses themselves, their unique personality, their friendship and whether it will all be left behind in the yard on the day, as well as who he thinks will be the coolest customer come Gold Cup day.

Visit BHA Xtra to hear the interview, as well as the full Q&A session with Nick Luck, Harry Findlay and Clive Smith, and make sure to ‘follow’ us to ensure you don’t miss a thing.
