The British Horseracing Authority (BHA) has today confirmed that the two Steeple Chases scheduled to take place at Hereford’s fixture on Monday 26 October have been abandoned and will be replaced by two Hurdle races.

The decision to abandon the two Chases has been taken in agreement with the BHA Course Inspectorate following Hereford’s all-Hurdle card on Tuesday 13 October. In light of the ongoing forecast, this will continue to allow Hereford to concentrate on appropriately preparing the Hurdle course for its next fixture.

The additional races will be a 0-110 Class 4 Mares Handicap Hurdle over 2m 53y and a Class 4 Novices’ Hurdle over 2m 3f 147y.
