The BHA has today confirmed the three Steeple Chases scheduled to take place at Exeter’s fixture on Friday 10 March have been abandoned and will be replaced with two Hurdle races, creating an all-Hurdle card.

Exeter has had 6mm of rain since February 1 and with the Chase Course currently Good to Firm, together with a mainly dry forecast, the decision to abandon the Steeple Chases now will give Exeter the option of concentrating watering on the Hurdle course to ensure the safest possible meeting for all participants..

The two additional Hurdle races will form a six-race card (which will carry the option to divide to seven), for which entries will close at noon on Saturday 4 March.
