
The British Horseracing Authority can today confirm the appointment of a consultancy firm to lead the process for recruiting the new members of a fully independent BHA Board.
Egon Zehnder, a preeminent leadership advisory firm, will, in parallel, oversee the process of identifying a permanent Chief Executive Officer.
With offices in 36 countries, and 60 years of operations, Egon Zehnder has extensive experience and a strong track record across CEO searches. It also has unrivalled boardroom search experience having conducted 2,000 globally over the past 5 years.
The firm has a proven track record across a range of international sports as well as placements in public and private sector businesses and governing bodies.
Egon Zehnder was appointed by the BHA Nominations Committee following a competitive tender process.
The company will start immediately and conduct a detailed search process.
Egon Zehnder has substantial experience of senior placements in the sector, having worked with racing operations in the UK, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
Outside of racing, Egon Zehnder regularly advises clubs, leagues, governing bodies, and investors across sports.
