The BHA has today confirmed that the Download the Racing App Lightning Novices’ Chase (Grade 2) will be staged at Lingfield Park on Sunday 21 January.

The race had been scheduled to be staged at the same venue on Friday 19 January before that day’s fixture was abandoned this morning.

Entries for the race will not be re-opened, meaning that original entries stand. However, new declarations will be taken at 10am on Friday morning along with the remainder of the Sunday card.

The race will retain its value of £75k, with the Levy Board agreeing to provide ratecard funding.
