The British Horseracing Authority has today confirmed that the Flat fixtures scheduled for Bath on Saturday 13 August 2022 and Wednesday 17 August 2022 have been transferred to Wolverhampton.
With some areas of the course at Bath now described as ‘Hard’ and the weather forecasts continuing to show dry conditions in the area, a decision has been taken to move the forthcoming fixtures. As a result, the race scheduled to be run over 1m5f on the Saturday 13 August fixture will now take place over 1m4f50y.
Mark Spincer, Managing Director of ARC’s Racing Division said: “Sadly, the dry weather continues to impact on our ability to race at Bath. In what has been an exceptionally dry summer around the country, Bath has seen next to no rain in the last month, apart from one shower on 22 July. In the interests of all participants, we feel it is best to host these fixtures at an alternative venue, in this instance Wolverhampton.”
