British Racing’s governing and regulatory authorities are set for the transfer from their long-established Portman Square premises.
From Monday 6th December 2004, the British Horseracing Board and The Jockey Club will be based at 151 Shaftesbury Avenue, London WC2.
All current Portman Square-based departments of both organisations will be moving to the new offices. BHB will be situated on the 6th and 7th floors and The Jockey Club on the 5th floor of the modern, glass-fronted building. The Jockey Club will also have space on the ground floor, which will include its new disciplinary enquiry suite.
The offices lie at the north-eastern end of Shaftesbury Avenue, approximately two miles east of Portman Square, and are served by extensive transport links including a number of nearby tube stations.
BHB has been based at 42 Portman Square since its inception in 1993; The Jockey Club took up residence in the building in 1965.
