BHB LAUNCHES NEW INTERNET SITE

29 Sep 1998 Pre-2014 Releases

“The British Horseracing Board (BHB) today unveiled its new Internet site, http://www.bhb.co.uk/, an advanced and comprehensive site devoted to British racing. Containing many unique features, it will provide a valuable and attractive shop window for racing.
Fixture Lists for 1998 and 1999 and the BHB Trainers’ Directory can be fully searched against a number of criteria, the first time that such facilities have been offered on the Internet. Other areas include “”Ownership””, covering all aspects of how to become a racehorse owner, “”Go Racing””, containing suggestions as to how to make the most of a day at the races, and “”About Us””, a reference section on BHB and its work.
Another key area is “”News””, which includes an archive of BHB press releases, and in which other up-to-date information, such as major BHB speeches, will also be made available.
The site, developed by NewMedia Workshop, responsible for the highly-praised Racing Post Internet site, will be updated continually, with new features added as it is further developed. The backdrop to the home page will be updated monthly to reflect an outstanding recent race or a performance of particular merit. Double Trigger is the first featured horse.
Tim Darby, BHB Marketing Manager, commented:

“”BHB’s new Internet site intends to provide useful and up-to-date information both to racing fans and to those new to the sport. The various interactive features help to make the site very user-friendly and will enable British racing to be promoted to a worldwide audience.””
