BHB LAUNCHES NEW “THRILL OF OWNERSHIP” MOBILE UNIT

21 Feb 2003 Pre-2014 Releases

BH?_x0019_s racehorse ownership promotion drive takes a major step forward at Kempto?_x0019_s meeting today and tomorrow with the launch of the brand new†_x001C_Thrill of Ownershi°_x001D_ mobile exhibition unit.

The unit will be present at almost twice the number of racedays in 2003 as the ownership stand in 2002 and has a potential reach of over 650,000 racegoers nationwide this year. The new eye-catching unit will also be in place at most major Festival meetings and, in total, will attend 22 racecourses over the year.

Leading owners will be on hand at regular intervals to give their first hand experiences of racehorse ownership while top trainers and jockeys will be invited to participate in question and answer sessions. Trainer Richard Phillips will be the first in the series tomorrow.

The unit features a 50-inch plasma screen which will televise live racing courtesy of attheraces, while an enhanced promotional “Thrill of Ownership” video will also be shown. Prospective owners can browse the BHB website, www.bhb.co.uk, which gives details of trainers by geographical region plus Partnership & Racing Club Directories.

Fully trained representatives will be on hand throughout the racedays to answer any ownership queries and BHB-branded literature on the full range of racehorse ownership opportunities is also available. Every raceday offers the chance to enter a “Win A Racehorse For The Day” free competition.

It is also possible to book a place on one of the four well-established BHB Ownership Open Days, to be held this year in Lambourn, Newmarket, Epsom and Middleham. At a cost of just £69 per person, each open day includes guest speakers and a tour of a local trainer’s stable, providing prospective racehorse owners with a unique insight behind the scenes.
