CHANGES TO BHB HANDICAPPING TEAM’S STRUCTURE

03 Apr 2005 Pre-2014 Releases

BHB’s team of Handicappers, recently expanded to its required complement of 12, has undergone a restructuring. Nigel Gray, previously the Senior Handicapper, has become Head of Handicapping, with Dominic Gardiner-Hill promoted to the newly-created post of Senior Flat Handicapper. Phil Smith remains the Senior National Hunt Handicapper.

Gray explained: “As well as needing to keep pace with the expanded Fixture List, our international responsibilities have increased, particularly with the development of the World Thoroughbred Racehorse Rankings initiative. Dominic has already made a significant contribution representing Britain at international meetings and in addition, in his new role, he will also provide further support to the team of Flat Handicappers.”

Christian Leech has successfully completed his training period and is currently concentrating on horses running at distances up to a mile. BHB’s newest recruits to the handicapping team, Stephen Hindle and Marcus Weedon, are continuing their training.
