JOCKEY CLUB INITIATE RECRUITMENT PROCESS FOR A
DIRECTOR OF SECURITY

Following the publication of the Joint Jockey Club / BHB Security Review the process of recruiting a new Director of Security is now underway. An advert for the position of Jockey Club Director of Security appears in today’s Appointments section of the Daily Telegraph. The position will also be advertised in the Racing Post on Saturday and again in the Sunday Telegraph on 3rd August.

As part of the selection process the Jockey Club have established an Interview Panel which includes representatives from both BHB and the Levy Board. The panel will be chaired by one of the Jockey Club representatives, the former High Court Judge, Sir Michael Connell. He is joined by Christopher Foster (Jockey Club Executive Director), Fiona Birt-Llewellin (BHB Recruitment and Training Director) and Rodney Brack (Chief Executive, Horserace Betting Levy Board)

The recruitment firm Odgers Ray & Berndtson are assisting the Jockey Club in identifying the best candidate for the position. The process is expected to take a couple of months to complete. A copy of the advert is attached.
