Goodwood 24 September race abandoned – new race programmed

16 Sep 2014

  • 6f Class 4 Handicap abandoned
  • New 7f race added to card

Goodwood Racecourse has today been forced to abandon the remaining six furlong races at the course in 2014.  This is to allow for essential remedial work.

There are three remaining races over six furlongs, the first of which comes next Wednesday (24 September). The British Horseracing Authority’s (BHA) Racing Department has added a new race to the card, over seven furlongs, which matches the original race in terms of prize money and eligibility.

The new race will close, in line with the existing races, at noon on Thursday 18 September. Declarations are to be made by 10am on Monday 22 September.

A new, revised running order follows below:

2:05pm 47277   The British Stallion Studs EBF Maiden Stakes (Class 5)

2:40pm 47275   The RH Hall EBF Stallions Maiden Stakes (Class 4) (Bobis Race)
