Steeple Chase Course Waterlogged –
All Hurdle Course Card Now Programmed At
Hexham 19/11/08

The Steeple Chase course at Hexham Racecourse is currently waterlogged and, following an inspection in conjunction with the British Horseracing Authority’s Racecourse Inspectorate, the Executive at Hexham has today been forced to abandon the three Steeple Chases scheduled for Wednesday, November 19th.

In response, the British Horseracing Authority has created two extra Hurdle race opportunities. The additional races will close at noon on Saturday, November 15th and a revised order of running and race conditions are attached below.

Additionally, the total prize funds of the 1.40, The E.B.F. toteexacta ‘National Hunt’ Novices’ Hurdle Race (Qualifier) (Class 4), and the 2.40, The totetrifecta Handicap Hurdle Race (Class 4) have been increased to £5,500 and £8,000 respectively. Under the provisions of Order 125 and Instruction B1, race numbers 51406, 51404, 51409 and 51407 may now be permitted to divide, to give a maximum of 7 races on the day.
