All-Hurdle card programmed for Kelso on 17 September

  • Steeple Chases abandoned
  • One new Hurdle race now forms part of a six race card  

After consultation with the British Horseracing Authority (BHA) Inspectorate, Kelso has decided to abandon the two Steeple Chases scheduled for Wednesday 17 September. This is to ensure optimum use of available irrigation and provide the best possible going.

In response, the BHA’s Racing Department has programmed an additional Hurdle race, which will now form part of a six race card.

Kelso’s going on the Hurdles course is currently described as Good to firm (Watering).

The new race will close at noon on Saturday 13 September. Declarations are to be made in line with the existing races by 10am on Tuesday 16 September.

A new, revised running order follows below.

4:35pm 50625   The Mayflower Handicap Hurdle Race (Class 5)

5:05pm 50626   The September Maiden Hurdle Race (Class 5)

5:35pm 50628   The Straightline Construction Congratulates Keith Dalgleish Handicap

Hurdle Race (Class 4)

6:05pm 50623   The Souters Sports Novices’ Hurdle Race (Class 4)

6:35pm 50622   The Roxburghe Championship Golf Course Handicap Hurdle Race

(Class 3)

7:05pm 50627   The Twilight Maiden Open National Hunt Flat Race (Class 6)
