HURDLE RACES ABANDONED AT LINGFIELD PARK ON TUESDAY 12TH NOVEMBER – ADDITIONAL STEEPLE CHASE AND ALL-WEATHER BUMPER NOW PROGRAMMED

08 Nov 2013 Pre-2014 Releases

Due to heavy rain this afternoon and subsequent waterlogging, Lingfield Park has been forced to abandon the Hurdle races scheduled for Tuesday 12th November. In response, the British Horseracing Authority (BHA) has programmed an all-Chase and National Hunt Flat card in an attempt to safeguard this fixture. This will consist of the three Steeple Chases and one All-Weather National Hunt Flat Race originally scheduled, plus one additional Steeple Chase and one additional All-Weather National Hunt Flat Race.

Lingfield’s going on the Steeple Chase course is currently described as Heavy, with the All-Weather Track listed as Standard.

Both additional races will be free to enter with entries set to close at noon on Saturday 9th November. Declarations to run for both races are to be made by 10.00am on Monday 11th November, in line with the existing races.

A revised running order is as follows:

1:30 21411 The At The Races Novices’ Handicap Steeple Chase (Class 4)
2:00 21418 The Lingfield Park Handicap Steeple Chase (Class 3)
2:30 21419 The Lingfield Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race (Class 6)
3:00 21412 The World Horse Welfare Handicap Steeple Chase (Class 4)
3:30 21416 The Your Expert Guide To Lingfield lingfieldracecoursetips.co.uk Handicap Steeple Chase (Class 5)
4:05 21417 The SIS Mares’ Intermediate Open National Hunt Flat Race (Class 6)
