Jockey Club Estates Appoint Managing Director

Peter Amos has been appointed Managing Director of Jockey Club Estates. The promotion, which takes place with immediate effect, means that Peter who was previously General Manager will now be on the board of Jockey Club Estates Limited.
George Paul, the Chairman of Jockey Club Estates, said: “Peter has thoroughly deserved his promotion, which I am sure will be well received by Newmarket trainers and all the staff of Jockey Club Estates. He has earned a reputation for providing excellent training facilities at Newmarket and for the efficient manner in which he runs Jockey Club Estates. He takes immense trouble to provide trainers with exactly what they require and the successes achieved by Newmarket trained horses demonstrates the quality of the training grounds.”

The roles and objectives of Jockey Club Estates are:
a) To manage and develop the Newmarket training grounds as the centre of world excellence for the training of racehorses
b) To manage and administer the Jockey Club Rooms, together with other property in and around Newmarket.
Jockey Club Estates Limited is responsible for the management and administration of 4,500 acres of land, 2,800 of which are made up of training grounds with the remainder being made up of tenanted farmland and stud farms. There are also 80 residential and commercial properties as well as the Jockey Club Rooms on Newmarket High Street.
