Jockey Club’s New Annual Review

Published: 8 May 1997

The Jockey Club’s new Annual Review, which is published today, will help all those who are unsure about precisely what racing’s authorities do and how they relate to each other. The beginning of the Review has been used to spell out their different roles and objectives and it goes on to show the Jockey Club’s responsibilities in more detail.

This theme has been continued in the Senior Steward’s Foreword, which he has used to provide concise answers to those questions on regulation which are most often asked.

The Jockey Club’s commitment to individual training is a constant topic throughout the Review, which also emphasises the broad experience and the qualities of those involved in the regulation of horseracing.

A total of 5,000 copies of the Review will be distributed, not only within racing, but also to certain Members of both Houses of Parliament, principal sponsors, overseas turf authorities and the press.
