NEW WEBSITE WWW.GOJUMPRACING.COM PROVIDES BEAT THE CREDIT CRUNCH TICKET OFFERS FOR JUMP HORSERACING

02 Dec 2008 Pre-2014 Releases

The governing body of British horseracing, The British Horseracing Authority (BHA), has launched a new initiative promoting ticket sales to all jump racing fixtures in Britain. www.gojumpracing.com is a new website providing a one stop shop for British jump racing, where visitors can purchase tickets securely to any jump fixture, with credit crunch busting discounts for hundreds of race meetings.

There are various different promotions active on the site, spread across the 350-plus jump racing fixtures throughout England, Scotland and Wales during the 2008/2009 season. They include:

– Up to 50% discount on tickets to various Order of Merit fixtures
– Up to 25% discount to various fixtures for group bookings
– Up to 20% discount for advance sales to many fixtures
– 2 for 1 offers in Tattersalls enclosures to various racecourses

The website also provides a helpful resource for both regular and first time race goers. A calendar and racecourse search function, where all race fixtures are highlighted for either a specific date or by the racecourse searched, includes the option to buy tickets as well as providing the location and details of all British racecourses hosting jumps fixtures. A “find my local racecourse” feature enables visitors to search for the nearest racecourse to a particular location, results are then displayed via a GoogleTM map.

Nic Coward, Chief Executive of the British Horseracing Authority, commented “Jump racing is one of the nation’s favourite sports and a fantastic day out. Gojumpracing.com has been put together to help people enjoy the experience even more. It highlights great discounted ticket offers on nearly every jump racing fixture in Britain, making a day out at the races an affordable and enjoyable experience. With kids going free, it’s a wonderful family day too. Racecourses are offering some incredible special offers and group booking discounts – ideal for a Christmas party with a difference.”

As well as promoting ticket sales a further aim of www.gojumpracing.com is to break down the sometimes perceived impenetrability of horseracing to newcomers and highlight that jump racing can be a fantastic and easy day out for anyone. As such www.gojumpracing.com showcases the up and coming major events within the jump racing calendar, providing informative details on each high profile fixture together with its feature race, with Sandown Park’s Tingle Creek Day being the initial focus. A comprehensive beginner’s guide to jump racing and betting is also a key feature.

www.gojumpracing.com also includes regular news bulletins on jump racing, its horses and trainers as well as useful website links to organisations associated with the sport, providing a further source of essential information about going jump racing in Britain.

Channel 4 TV Racing presenter and racing pundit Tanya Stevenson described the site as “An innovative and informative site for all jumps racing enthusiasts as well as for those new to the sport. There are fantastic promotions, must-see news items and an easy to negotiate beginners’ guide. As websites go this one is certainly right up there in my ‘favourites’”

Chief Executive of The Professional Jockeys Association, Josh Apiafi commented “It’s a great website and easy to use. I tested some friends on it the other day (non horseracing people) and they gave it a big thumbs up”.
