NOTICE OF A FORTHCOMING DISCIPLINARY PANEL HEARING (JOHN SPENCE AND JASON PARFITT)

Registered owners John Spence and Jason Parfitt have been informed they will be required to attend a Disciplinary Panel hearing on 10th – 11th July 2012 to consider possible breaches of the Rules of Racing, as follows:

John Spence

Is Mr Spence in breach of Rule (A) 36 of the Rules by communicating Inside Information to Mr Parfitt for material reward, favour or benefit in kind about Mr Spence’s geldings, NORISAN and/or SOCCERJACKPOT in their races on 11th March 2010 and 1st May 2010 Races respectively?

Is Mr Spence in breach of Rule (A) 37 of the Rules by assisting, and/or causing the commission of a corrupt and/or fraudulent practice by Mr Parfitt (namely placing lay bets on NORISAN and/or SOCCERJACKPOT with the benefit of Inside Information, in breach of Rule (A)41) by communicating Inside Information to Mr Parfitt knowing that, or being reckless as to whether or contemplating as a real possibility that Mr Parfitt would use it for such a corrupt and/or fraudulent practice?

Is Mr Spence in breach of Rule (E) 92 of the Rules by laying ST SAVARIN, a horse owned by Burnham Plastering and Drylining Ltd of which Mr Spence is a director, to lose in the win and place markets in its race on 5th October 2010?

Jason Parfitt

Is Mr Parfitt in breach of Rule (A) 41 of the Rules by committing a corrupt or fraudulent practice in relation to racing in Great Britain by laying NORISAN and/or SOCCERJACKPOT with the benefit of Inside Information relating to the prospects of the geldings in the 11th March 2010 and 1st May 2010 Races respectively?
