Restriction on division of races at evening All Weather meetings lifted for July

03 Jul 2018

The British Horseracing Authority (BHA) has today announced that the temporary restriction on races dividing at evening All Weather fixtures has been lifted for the month of July due to the ongoing spell of hot weather.

This is due to increased demand for all weather races in recent weeks due to the widespread firmer going conditions currently being experienced by the majority of turf courses.

As a result, races will be permitted to divide at the following evening All Weather meetings throughout the month of July:

The restriction for tomorrow’s fixture at Kempton was lifted in advance of declaration stage yesterday.

Mike Waring, Senior Race Planning Executive at the BHA, said;

“We’ve seen increased demand for a variety of All Weather contests since the spell of hot weather took hold.

“As a result, we’ve temporarily lifted restrictions on race divisions to ensure that if the demand is there, there is the option to divide these races, even if they are higher value contests.”
