Running and Riding of Mickmacmagoole to be Subject of a Disciplinary Panel Enquiry

Published: 30 January 2006

The Jockey Club announced today that a Disciplinary Panel enquiry will be held into the running and riding of Mickmacmagoole at Southwell on 22nd November 2005.

Following the running of the Press Red to Bet on ITVi Banded Stakes at Southwell on 12th December 2005 where the gelding won, the improvement in form was referred to the Stewards of the Jockey Club in compliance with Instruction H19 so that the performance of the gelding in its earlier races could be reviewed.

Having examined the evidence, the running and riding of the gelding in the Watch Football While You Bet on ITVi Banded Stakes at Southwell on 22nd November has been referred to the Disciplinary Panel which will consider whether or not Jamie Spencer has committed a breach of Rule 157 and Seamus O’Donnell has committed a breach of Rule 155 (ii).

A provisional date for the enquiry has been set for 9th February.
